When the begging burro first opened I was very excited to have a Mexican restaurant in town. That first year I wasn't very impressed, but it continues to get better every season. This year the food has been excellent. The atmosphere and service has always been great.

We were here on vacation recently. We love Mexican restaurants, so we decided to try this one. The food was fine (nothing absolutely out of this world) and the drinks were fine, I had two mojitos, and my husband had two beers. We split an entree, our boys had two kids meals (water only for them), and the other family’s appetizer (who was with us) was incorrectly put onto our bill (it was my brother’s family, so we just paid for it instead of raising a stink about it). So, after tip, it was $90 for the 4 of us! Most money I’ve ever spent at a Mexican restaurant, and we weren’t overly impressed. We wouldn’t go there again.

Ordered Burro Brisket. The seasoning that was smeared on the meat detracted from the taste, which was very good once you scraped the seasoning off.The corn-on-the-cob was cold when it was served and needed to be returned. It was roasted when it was returned but had no taste. The cheeses that were under the meat were not warmed and melted. It may well been served on the side.Their daily fresh made salsa was also horrible. Not a great experience...

Questions & Answers

That's too bad, sounded good, we like doing "off season" camping and hiking, we're used to a few closed establishments after vacation season, looks like there are many other choices that remain open

We are usually open until 9 pm every night; due to an unforeseen plumbing problem we had no choice but to close for the evening while repairs were made.
